Paris Porcelain plate, by Edouard Honoré, superbly painted to the base with a view of a bridge in a wooded landscape containing buildings, a small figure on a road to the foreground, the wise gilt border with classical anthemions & scrollwork on a deep blue ground, within broad gilt line rims.
Titled to the rear rim “Kelso dans le Ronburgshire”
(Kelso, in Roxburgh, Scotland)
Marked with a red backstamp,

An unusual variation of the mark, not in the literature. The spelling of ‘Ronburgshire’ is a Continental way of spelling ‘Roxburgh Shire’
