Rare Thomas Fradley Art Pottery plaque, with characteristic marbled rim, the center with large white sprigged classical scene of two cavorting cherubs with a wreath, on a plain ground showing the deep red of the clay.

Good condition.
Godden in his ‘Encyclopedia’ has placed Fradley in the Appendix for the ‘unknown potters’. Since then, there has been just a little light shed on him; according to ThePotteries.org ,
