Samson of Paris plate, the rim with raised frieze depicting reclining cherubs supporting garlands of flowers, a winged head above, interspaced with urns of roses on plinths, on a gold ground, the centre with an Empire flower motif also in gold. Marked ‘Manufacture de DAGOTY – A Paris’ (supposedly circa 1810) but also bearing crossed ‘S’s’ for Samson of Paris, C. 1890
