Nicely carved scale model of a nguzu nguzu head, intended for the front of a Solomon Islands tomoko war canoe, with the highly stylised warrior wearing a conical helmet, grasping a head in his hands, with pearlshell inlay for his eyes and cheek-decorations, the head he holds with glass trade bead eyes.
