WMF (German) copper jug of straight sided form, made from overlapping panels riveted together with prominent domed rivets, the lid with a petal form brass thumb piece and an angular brass handle.
Running Ostrich mark, used until 1914

The WMF (Würtemburgische Machin Fabrik AG) 'ostrich' mark originates from the German word for ostrich, 'Der Strauss' after Daniel Straub, one of the founders. The mark ceased to be used in 1914.
