Once through to be important Bow replacement pieces of the 1750's, you can find one illustrated as such in the 1981 Adams & Redstone Bow Porcelain book, p60. In the Treasury of Bow exhibition held in Melbourne 2000, an example was included with the note: There have been questions as to the attribution of this plate to Bow. These questions are now not wether it is Bow, but who else it could be, and Spode has been promoted as a likely contender. If so, it is an unusual body, and must date to the late 18th or early 19th century. Another attribution to Miles Mason is also doubtful when compared to known examples.
