Rare Chelsea-Derby cup & saucer, the cup moulded in high relief with two birds perched on a flowering prunus branch to one side, a birdless flowering branch the other, the saucer with an overlapping ‘pinecone’ (or sunflower?) moulded ground, the rims with a narrow deep blue enamel band bearing a gilt vetruvian scroll pattern, a small gilt flowerhead placed off centre inside the cup to disguise a thick glaze globule.
