Fine quality Chinese Cinnabar Lacquer ‘figures in landscape’ snuff bottle, the heart-shaped and slightly compressed body rising to a gently flared neck, intricately carved on both sides with a rocky landscape inhabited by figures of scholars and youths, with tree branches of foliage arching overhead, all within cartouche with diaper grounds, with broad ruyi head border up the neck, the rim and foot showing copper beneath.
Qing dynasty, 1770-1830
7.5cm high.
Good condition with minor signs of age, top/stopper a replacement
