English Creamware plate, decorated in Holland with a delightful ‘Orangist’ patriotic image of William V of Orange and his Prussian wife Frederica Sophia Wilhelmina, on either side of a fruiting orange tree growing from a staved ‘tub’, an inscription below and their initials to identify them, within a simple sparse leaf wreath border. Signs of a Dutch artist’s signature on the back, Circa 1785
