Rare early Worcester scallop-shell pickle, painted underglaze with flower groups, enhanced onglaze with iron red, green and gold leaves & flowers.

Condition: Overpainted at the thumbpiece, approx. 5x7cm .
Some wear to gold. Original kiln speckling. Displays well.
The enamels have been ‘clobbered’ over the original underglaze blue pattern, an effort to enhance the value some time after manufacture.
