Rare large Meissen figure of a piping shepherd, dressed smartly in a blue coat & white had, a lamb and a dog at his feet.
‘Fugitive’ blue crossed swords mark to unglazed base, by central hole,

this example dating to circa 1755.
Condition: restorations throughout, including: pipes, fingers, dog’s eat and paw, tip of coat tail, his neck, foliage tips, sheep’s ear, very well done and displays well.
