Paris porcelain Empire style coffee cup and a saucer, the cup painted with a delightful continuous array of flowers growing up the side towards a series of moulded stars at the rim, reserved in white on a gilt band, the interior also gilt, the handle terminal moulded as a classical bearded head; the saucer with a very subtle decoration of a 5-pointed star around a central rosette, the panels between the star’s arms carefully burnished with a series of neoclassical trophies, including music and literature.
