Snuff box with hand painted watercolur miniature of ‘Venus & Cupid’,beautifully detailed with the reclining risqué Venus being spied on by Cupid, within a garden setting with distant landscape, set into a composition box with gilt ring holing the domed glass cover in place.

8.5cm wide, 2.5cm high
some signs of age, with repair to the inside flange of box base. Watercolour is good.
